| External Serial ATA (eSATA) provides the same performance and features for disk and tape drives outside the PC, that 3 Gb/s SATA provides for storage inside the PC – all with 5X faster performance than USB 2.0 or 1394 connectivity.
eSATA benefits include:
- 5X faster than USB 2.0 or 1394
- more secure connections
- better durability
- increased EMI protection for cables up to 2 meters
The Adaptec RAID 1225SA card is an eSATA, two-port, PCI Express x1 controller featuring Adaptec HostRAID™ - an integrated RAID technology that maximizes system performance and uptime.
