Full email application

Once connected to a WiFi or 3G+ network¹, the ARCHOS 7 email software lets you to check your emails whenever you want. You can see the number of awaiting emails right on the ARCHOS 5 home screen, reply to emails, or share attachments with anyone. The ARCHOS email application is the feature that lets you stay in touch while on the go.

Widgets application

ARCHOS selected the Opera™ browser as its web-surfing application. With Opera™, comes a bunch of widgets, handy small programs which you can download for free and use on your ARCHOS 7.

You can now check the weather before going on vacations, or check some sport results without having to start a new application. These come with your ARCHOS 7 out-of-the-box. Media Club

The Media Club remains the easiest way to get video and music content on the go. With Jamendo, FourMusic and MusicMe , the Media Club features hours of music experience for you to enjoy, directly on your ARCHOS 5. Because there is a simple fact. When commuting, most people get absorb in music. The Media Club is a great way for anyone to discover new tunes, and find out about new artists.

Downloading is so easy. You can pause and resume as often as you need. And the Mini Sites are still developed so that you do not need to scroll up and down. Everything is displayed on a single page, for a better comfort, even on TV.

Photos

Browse through your photos with a simple flick of your finger or play a slideshow of your last vacation. The high resolution screen perfectly reproduces each picture in such detail that the individual pixels can’t even be seen.

You can manage your entire photo library, create slideshow, import holiday photos directly from a digital camera without a computer(*) and share them on the screen or around the world.

Without a computer, you can also manage your photo library by editing albums, creating new ones. You can create slideshows on the go, and redefine the transitions and the background music.
You can also import photos directly and very quickly from a digital camera, with the optional DVR Snap-on. That comes in handy if you are shooting pictures in bracketting mode. You can then make your selection on a bigger and better screen, on the spot.

Content streaming from your PC

When you are at home and want to watch a movie or listen to music stored on your PC, protected or not (under Microsoft Windows DRM), just browse its hard drive wirelessly and play any file stored on it without transferring the file. Just stream it via your WiFi network and play it immediately on your ARCHOS.

With the DVR Station you can broadcast videos directly to your TV, for the ultimate viewing experience. Just like that.

TV recording

With the optional DVR Station, you’ll never miss your favorite TV shows. Schedule and record TV shows and movies in one step using with the remote control. Just locate the TV show on the program guide grid and you’ll have a recording to enjoy at home on your wide-screen TV or in the palm of your hand.
